Using a breakthrough Spotify study, the team uncovered what within a song drives athletes to keep training. Then they designed and built Gatorade Amplify, the first-ever science-backed music experience on Spotify, designed for competitive athletes. Users input their workout, then Amplify generates a personalized playlist by matching each song’s attributes to the intensity of the exercise in the workout. In the end, the team created an entirely new way for Gatorade to fuel athletes.
As I came into the project towards the end, my role was to focus on digitally promoting the app after it was created.

Results
Over 60k playlists generated (5x higher than Spotify benchmarks), over 1.4 million minutes of listening time (2x Spotify benchmarks), and measurable brand lift across our KPIs, all within the first three months.
